autumn is now officially here.

been here for a few weeks imo.
thoughts of rosey cheeked ,
wind-fallen apples,
in dew-drenched grass.
mushrooms,
blue-legs,
acorns 'n' conkers.
over-ripe blackberries,
trees,with their autumn foliage,
rose-hips and the hawthorn.
i always admired the hawthorn,
it's strong hard branches,
those long ,hard,black,
unrepentant,
thorns.
one last feast ,
of berries for songbirds,
bracing themselves,
for the dark days of winter.

don't know why i'm saying this.

Very autumnal this week eric gusty winds cool and lots of rain and showers about. 2 more matches and the bowlings finished till October too

it's gonna be one helluva week at work.

such is life.

I like the changing of the season.
