a typical autumn morning,out walking,and thinking.ttt.
it's sunny here.
windy,
but fine.
and not cold.
walking to my corner shop,
to collect my good friend FJ.
street littered with fallen leaves.
this is no leafy avenue.
just council kidology.
the road has a terrible history,
and the powers that would be,
have tried, in vain,imo,
to spruce it up.
there are all these dwarf variety trees,
lining the street.
and in the summer,
they show off their blooms,
of pink and white blossoms
intermitant oasis' of colour and scents.
but all i see is,
front gardens,
did i say "gardens"?
piled high,
with rubbish.
mini refuse-tips.
old cars on bricks,
building rubble,
pallets ffs.
gas fires and boilers.
and you see one,
that isn't rented,
and they've tried.
really tried.
y'know?
ANYWAY!
FALLEN LEAVES.
JESUS!
talk about losing the plot.
walking to pick up FJ.
fallen leaves,
placed,and displaced,
mostly shuffling,
some staying still,
others moved on by the wind,
or huddled together,
in drifts,
all at the mercy,
of the vagaries,
of time,and,
prevailing conditions.
makes me think of life,
and people.
all of us affected by winds,
winds of change.
HA!
"winds of change"
the scorpions,
whatever.
we're ALL,
just leaves,
shuffling,
and rustling.
we have our seasons,
and then,
we're no more.
so how were your seasons?
did you grow big and strong?
did you flourish?
did you bear fruits?
and were those fruits,
plentiful?
bountiful?
or like me,
have you withered?
were you of poor stock?
or did you germinate in a wasteland?
does it REALLY matter?
and as i see out MY autumn .
do i really give a fuck?
well yes,
i DO actually.
