i've taken a lump out of a couple of bricks,
on the gable-end of our house.
i'd like to patch them up.
was thinking just whack a bit of cement on.

don't know if you can get some sort of rending material for that. Neutral

Cement should be fine eric i think you can get dye to match the colour of the brick too.

Eric unless you put the same back it will look like shit mate.
Try and get the bits you have knocked out and and leat use them as 'facing bricks'
No use in using new bricks as they wont be weathered.
I am a bit of a perfectionist in my house but trust me it takes no longer and costs no more mate.

i don't think i have the bits now.
but i'm not too concerned.
i'm having fencing replaced.
took a post off the house wall,
and did the damage.
there will be a new post going back,
so not much of it will be visible.
but thanks gents.
might look into that die idea though.
