Re: The official Juice World Cup 2010 thread
Bet so far - Netherlands outright, average odds 17.2, currently available at 13.5.
Odd that all the other squads seems to either have injury worries (Spain a prime example - Torres and Fabregas have two working legs between them) cropping up as the days go by (Ballack today is out. England's worry is that Ashley Cole is fit) and yet the Dutch seem to have gone about they're business quietly without the usual infighting with which their squad is traditionally riven and their lot has improved with the return of Robin Van Persie. They've left out the Horse's Head is about the only big news I've seen and there must be a fair reason for that. It's a "home" language as well, so you should be able to guarantee a bit of "home" support. They've also not failed to get out of their group in modern times and have made semis or better three times out of six since 1974.
Downside is they are in the harder side of the draw IMO. And they're led by a bloke who goes by the name of Bert, so what the fuck will he know?

Re: The official Juice World Cup 2010 thread
Netherlands now 8.2
Positives
- three out of three without really breaking a sweat
- four different scorers, Huntelaar and Van Persie is a nice dilemma to have
- back to full strength with strength on the bench as well
- Italy out and France out from expected places in their half of the draw
Negatives
- haven't really broke a sweat, don't know what they're like up against it
- Brazil in the quarters should they both get there
Might trade out stake if they put out the Slovaks...

Traded out pieces at 8.4 after beating the Slovaks and remainder of stake at 3.4 after yesterday
Running for free therefore at 11.8 net. A nice position to be in.

Still in excess of 2.5 in the outright without knowing who their opposition is.
Have won their last 14 games in the World Cup (qualifying to tournament)
