Before I go to bed to finish off the night's sleep Laughing , I broke the seal this week despite having had a few visits to the coast - first go this summer at the fish and chips and it was spot on - meaty cod, held together superbly when you flaked a piece off, chips done to a T and mushy peas with the right balance of "mushy" and "pea".

I hesitate to say where because I could scarcely believe it - this town is a perennial disappointment to me in the fish and chip stakes and it raised its game stratospherically this week...
