How did this eventually pan out? I've read back over and without doing the maths, Frasier should have been through 1000 by the time we came back.

If one wants to spend some time delving in hindsight, it would seem that it was all a monumental victory for Jones.

The bait was laid , it was gobbled up greedily by the targets. They then left the arena , tail fixed firmly betwixt legs , to return gregariously as if nothing had happened.

The issue over the forum, meanwhile, is that she would have been massively disrespectful of the input that Tony put in to start and maintain this place.

She would have been massively disrespectful of BOAT's good nature in maintaining this place.

She devalued every post I'd ever made but as I am only a bit part player who posts, I have bigger issues to concern myself with in my private life than this forum. I post to entertain but primarily that entertainment is self-entertainment and it would be curmudgeonly to deny that.

The bits of homespun philosophy are to stimulate debate, naturally, but the "he will post for ten minutes, have no-one to snipe at and fuck off, forty posts max" was a prediction that I could have taken to Mr W Hill and seen what he'd have let me have.

There were no winners in this, Kit. Except me in terms of my football stories, which I kept, but that was of course in the "self-entertainment" category. I do like the play-acting constructs as well and this forum is full of decent foils. She removed that. No winners.

I've waited nearly three years to see how this thread turned out and it was a bit of a letdown TBH.

Just thought i'd pop in and say hello. That's the trouble with being deleted before a threads finished. You're left with three years of sleepless nights wondering how it all panned out.
